it has been a long time

it has been a while since I have posted a blog. so here is the latest that has been going on in my life. my lil lady turned two in Febuary and we had a lot of snow in that month and I loved it and I hope that we will have many more winters like that. Haleigh had imbilical surgery in May and Brandon turned four in May as well and Micah and I celebrated six years. Iam currently in college and that is going well. My kids are growing like weeds, Brandon had his four year well check today and he is three feet three inches tall and he weighs 36.6 pounds. My lil man will be starting pre-k in the fall and I know he will be excited to ride a school bus but it will be a bittersweet moment for me, he is growing up and Iam not ready to let this lil boy grow up yet but that is what life is about. My sister is law is getting married in eight days and Iam thrilled beyond words for her, on a sad note my mother in law found out that she has cancer( we found out in May) and since the very beginning of this journey she has been in the hospital a total of three times and she had her first round of Chemo this past wednesday. She will get a Chemo treatment every three weeks . I hope that she will be cancer free after all of this is done and over with. I promise I will starting blogging again on a regular basis :)

let it snow let it snow let it snow

it has been snowing here pretty much all day long and I love it :) I can't remember the last time that Salisbury has seen this much snow. My kids can't wait to go outside and play in the fluffy white stuff. I will post pics once we get to go out and play and Brandon has had one request from his Daddy and that is for him to build a big snowman and a baby snowman.

thirty one yrs old

today that is how OLD Iam...my gosh I wish that I was still in my twenties. I spent the day at the doctors office with my two sick kids they both have double ear infections. :( I hope that they start feeling better soon. Hopefully all of us will be able to go out this week-end and do something as a family to celebrate my Birthday, but I need to get my kids feeling better first.

Christmas

well as some of you know we are moving back to the house that I grew up in so needless to say the little bit of decorating that I did all had to be packed up and put away for now...we are moving next weekend and I will be putting up the tree and all of my decorations as soon as we get settled in. I have started wrapping gifts for our friends and family and for Brandon and Haleigh also but I still have six people left to buy for and I need to get the layaway out for the kids next week. So I will be a very busy person over the next couple of weeks. There is one gift that I really want to get for Brandon but I think that it may have to wait until after Christmas and that gift is the Zhu Zhu pets, I want to get him two of the hamsters and at least the ball that goes with them. After Christmas my birthday is soon to follow and the day after my 31st b-day will mark two years in Heaven for my Mom, I miss her everyday and I know that she misses all of us and than My lil Haleigh will be turning two Feb. 13th so we will be having a nice party for her at the house so things will be busy busy busy for me and Micah as we have lots of things to plan for and Celebrate.

Christmas Part One

well today I drug out the Christmas decorations and I decorated my lil heart out...well the tree still has to be put up but Micah won't let me do that quite yet. I will be getting the kids Christmas presents soon I have a lay-a-way at Kmart and that the wrapping can begin :) I know that my kids are going to have a GREAT Christmas this year b/c it is going to be a simple one. well Iam almost done the Christmas shopping for everyone else I have only eight people left to but for and than we will be finished:) I hope that Santa will be good to all of my friends and family and I hope that my mom has a wonderful Birthday and Christmas in Heaven. I miss her everyday but I know that she is happy in Heaven and that she would want all of us to be happy here on Earth and I know in my heart that she will find a small way to wish all of us a Merry Christmas, after all this was my Mom's favorite time of the year.

my lil man

has been sick the past two days....so today we headed to the doctor only to be told that he has a viral infection the odd thing is that when Brandon has a fever he breaks out in hives and once the fever goes down or away so do the hives. If I give him some allergy medicine they go away alot faster I hope that my lil man feels better in the morning. I also forgot that he is doing great on the potty and he is 99% there and I will be glad when he is 100% potty trained:)

the other two loves of my life

These two kids bring joy to my life everyday and I am so greatful for them and they are a gift from God. I love them with all of my heart and soul. Brandon you a wonderful little boy, you are growing up to fast and I wish that time would slow down sometimes..I can't believe that you are going to be going to school next year and Haleigh you a precious lil lady, I love your smiles that you give us everyday and all of the hugs and kisses that you have to offer.

Fall Mornings

I love mornings like this I have to admit that Fall is my favorite time of the year :) , I love watching the leaves turn colors and I love the fact that day's are getting shorter. I also love the fact that Winter is not to far away. I hope that we get some snow this year well at least more than last year, My Haleigh has never been able to play in the snow b/c she was sick last year. Another reason why I love Fall is I can start cooking soups and stews and there is nothing like a pot of soup on a chilly evening. What are some of the reason's you like Fall and I know that some people like this time of the year for Football. But not me I don't care for the sport.

Hunting Season

well let me start by saying that Micah is in his glory...he has been hunting on a nightly basis and he has seen a few good deer that he would love to get a shot at but he has not been able to for one reason or another and he is hunting at this moment. I always wish him luck and I hope that he kills a nice size deer soon. I was thinking the other day that I may want to go with him and try (the key word here is try) to get my first deer. Brandon knows when he see's Daddy put on the Camo that Daddy is going Hunting and he wants to go to so bad that he can taste it. It will be hard to believe that Brandon will soon be able to join Micah on his hunting trips.

a quick update

well let me start off my saying that Iam sorry that it has been two months since I have posted. I have been very busy. Life if great and the kids are doing wonderful. I took Brandon to try out lil kickers yesterday and he did not want anything to do with that so we left and came back home and just hung around until we had to leave to go Assasteague to get our family pics done and I learned something new while we were there Brandon is afraid of the Ocean. That shocked me because that lil boy of mine LOVES the water. Well Iam sitting here doing nothing but listening to CMT and once everyone gets up it will be time to get things done around here. Sunday morning is the only morning that I cook a huge breakfast so I will be doing that and since it is supposed to be nice here today we are going to take the kids to the zoo and Brandon fishing for what will probably the one last time for this year because Fall is right around the corner. I will try to post on a weekly basis from now on I promise:)

bits and pieces

well I really don't have much news. But things are good no make them great... Brandon's speech is improving a little w/ the help from us and Haleigh is walking all over the place and I love watching her walk around. As for our pet family that has grown a little bit we have a beta fish, two cats, two hamster and two turtles. My dad is doing great also and so are Kim and Keith and Ryan, Ryan is quiet the racer Iam hoping to go and see him race this coming Friday night if I have a sitter for the kids. Oh and Ryan made the honor roll !!!! I can't believe that summer is almost over and the kids will be going to school soon and before you know it Christmas will be here and I know that this year is going to be fun b/c Brandon loves opening presents and Haleigh will be almost two years old so this Christmas will be alot of fun. I know that it is a long way off still but I can't wait for it to get here.

Brandon's three year well-check and Haleigh's ear recheck

He did great and he is one healthy boy and for now his Iron levels are good. So the bad news his speech is a little delayed which I knew it was so he will be getting some speech therapy and he has to go see an audiologist. So once he starts speaking more clearly and pronouncing the words correctly I will feel better and I know that I made the right decison here. I hope that the therapy will be fun for him and Iam going to do some fun things at home for him as well. As for Haleigh her ears look great so no tubes for now and we will just hope for the best there that she does not get any more ear infections.

Sorry that I have not posted anything in a while but life has been hectic as usual. Brandon is doing great and he started VBS this week at Allen Memorial Baptist Church. I have been working and making sure that things get done around the house. Iam applying for the GNA?CNA program through Genesis Elder Care. Iam hoping that I get accepted for one it is more money than what Iam currently making and two they have tution assistance for that way I can go back to school and get my nursing degree. As for Haleigh is still having some issues with walking but she talks up a storm she is learing a new word or two on a weekly basis now. Micah is working sometimes six or seven day's a week so we don't have much family time but this is his busy season. So at least it is short term. My dad and my Sister and her family are doing well. Ryan made the honor roll and he is doing great in his go-kart racing. Well that sums it all up and I promise that I will "try" to start posting on a weekly basis again.

three years ago today

I was in labor with my first child Brandon. My labor started at 3:15a.m. and when we got to the hospital they had me walk for a while and I had lot of friends and family coming in and out of my room and it was a long day I ended up having to have an emergency c-section and Brandon made is apperance at 6:32 p.m. and he weighed in at 7 pounds 13 ounces and he was 21 inches long. I can't believe that my lil man is three today.

my kids are totally diffrent from one another

here are some diffrences between the two.

Brandon was the best baby any first time mom could ask for Haleigh one the other had as much as I love her is the difficult one she had colic and she is just so needy and it gets on my nerves at times.

Brandon is fair skinned and he has the lighter hair but dark eyes, Haleigh has a darker skin tone and darker hair and blue eyes. He takes after me and she takes after her daddy.

He never was and still is not a hitter or a biter and Haleigh is the bully out of the two.I can see her causing me alot of headaches in years to come.

One thing that they do have in common is that they are both very loving kids and they are both very senstive.

Finally

Brandon is sleeping in his own bed. See when he was about nine mths old I would let him sleep with me if he would get up in the night well than he would only go to sleep if he was in bed with us and it continued for well almost two more years and now that Micah is working during the day's I knew that I needed Brandon to sleep in his own bed. Well that was easier said than done until we moved here and he is doing great and I don't here a peep out of him until he wakes up in the morning. I sleep better as well b/c there is not a little boy in the middle of the bed that is a bed hog.

yesterday he was accident prone but the first one was partly my fault also but we had gone to the store to buy salad to take to my friend Marly's house and he was good while we were in the store and we when got back home he did not want to get out of the car and I had Haleigh on my hip and I had three bags and I pulled him out of the car and he would not walk so I was carrying him the best that I could and he is a heavy boy and I lost my grip and he went tumbling to the ground and he started crying and ran away from me. I turned around and he was standing there with his first bloody nose I felt so bad for him I scooped him up and took him inside it didn't take long for the bleeding to stop thankfully so after he and I got cleaned up I packed the diaper bag and off to Marly's we went and he had a ball and when we were getting ready to leave he was taking his foot and I really don't know what he was doing but they have this neat water feature and Brandon fell into that and got wet from head to toe and all that I could see was his face. If he would of stood up he would of been fine but he was scared and honestly so I was I. I hope that my little man has a better day today.

Hi there

well we are finally getting settled in to our apartment but I still have some things that I need to finish going through at my Dad's house. I tried earlier today but I was unsuccesful but Micah and I will be going later to finish up. Iam in the process of planning my Brandon's birthday party.I can't believe that he will be three. I have a lot going on at the moment but I thought that I would take a few minutes to update everyone. I hope to see all of my friends and family at Brandon's party on May 23rd. Oh and one more thing as most of you know that Brandon was born on our anniversary and I want to do something special for Micah this year but I have no clue what I should do for him. Idea's please!!!!

Happy Easter

Brandon and Haleigh were both up early to see what the Easter Bunny had left for them and they loved everything that they got. We have had a busy day we are in the process of moving and later this afternoon we are going to my sisters house for an egg hunt and dinner. I hope that all of my friends and family have a wonderful easter.

spring cleaning

I have been going through alot of my things that I have gathered through the yrs. and since we are moving very soon we sign the lease next week.
